Shadows are units that players can arise from defeated enemies. They fight alongside you and can be upgraded to become more powerful.

Shadows are units that players can arise from defeated enemies. There are only three attempts to arise the shadow. The higher the rank, the lower the probability of success.

How to Recruit Shadows

You have a chance to recruit defeated enemies as Shadows by holding E before they despawn.

Note: You only have 3 attempts to arise a Shadow from a defeated enemy.

Island Shadows

Island shadows can only be a Common rarity. They can only have three ranks - E, D, and very rarely C. They are divided into two types – small and brute shadows. Small shadows can only have E rank, while brute shadows can have D or even C rank.

Dungeon Shadows

Dungeon shadows can only be a Common rarity, while dungeon bosses can only be an Epic rarity. The rank of the dungeon shadows is determined by the rank of the dungeon itself, but there is a very small chance of arising a shadow whose rank is higher than the rank of the dungeon. Red gates increases the chance of arising a shadow by one rank higher than the dungeon rank.

EE Rank

Lowest rank for shadows, commonly found in small island shadows.

DD Rank

Low rank for shadows, commonly found in brute island shadows.

CC Rank

Medium-low rank, rarely found in brute island shadows.

BB Rank

Medium rank, commonly found in dungeon shadows.

AA Rank

Medium-high rank, found in higher-level dungeon shadows.

SS Rank

High rank, found in powerful dungeon bosses.

SSSS Rank

Very high rank, can be crafted from Shadow Upgrader NPC using the same shadow of each rank.

GG Rank

Extremely high rank, only legendary shadows can have G Rank.

NN Rank

Highest rank, only Monarch can have N rank.

Maximum Level by Rank

Each shadow rank has a maximum level cap. Higher ranks allow for greater level progression and higher damage potential.
