Team Up
Invite friends or party with stronger players. You can clear even high-rank dungeons faster.
Check Dungeon Rank First
If it's low (E or D), you might skip it unless you need easier Shadows or quick gems.
Bring Strong Shadows
Higher-level Shadows help you beat bosses before the portal closes.
Watch the Clock
Enter the dungeon before the 15-minute timer ends. You can keep fighting even if the portal disappears outside.
Share Damage
If an enemy is too strong, team with friends or other players. You need to deal ~10% of the boss's HP to have a shot at arising it.
Focus on Top-Tier Units
Check our 'Shadows Tier List' and focus on top-tier units if you see them in the final boss room or from mini-boss waves.
How often do dungeons spawn?
Dungeons spawn every 30 minutes (e.g. 1:00, 1:30, 2:00β¦) and remain open for 15 minutes. If you miss one, you'll need to wait for the next spawn. Once inside, you can continue fighting even if the portal outside disappears.
What are dungeon ranks?
Dungeon ranks range from E (lowest) to S (highest), with rare SS ranks in Double Dungeons. Higher rank dungeons offer better rewards including more powerful Shadows and valuable items. Every dungeon has a slim chance to give you a Shadow one rank above the dungeon's baseline rank.
What are Double Dungeons?
Double Dungeons are rare special events where after clearing one dungeon, a second one immediately opens. The timer resets or increases, NPCs respawn, and you must clear the dungeon backwards to reach a second boss room. The second boss is often Monarch (Sung Jinwoo), who might drop a G-rank Shadow if you're extremely lucky. If it's an A-rank Double Dungeon, you can use a Rank-Up Rune to make it S-rank, increasing your chances for SS or G-rank drops.
What are Red Gates (Red Dungeons)?
Red Gates are more challenging versions of regular dungeons where enemies have approximately 3Γ the HP/damage. They require a strong team or well-leveled Shadows to complete. Red Gates offer an increased chance of dropping a Shadow one rank higher than the dungeon's base rank. For example, an S-rank red gate gives you a better chance to get an SS unit.
How can I find dungeon locations?
Watch for in-game alerts like 'A dungeon gate has appeared.' The official Discord's 'game-dungeons' channel often posts each dungeon's rank and location. Each island has multiple spawn points for gates. For example, Grass Village (Naruto-themed) might have 3β4 possible spawn spots.
Can I re-enter dungeons?
Your first entry to a dungeon is free once the gate spawns. After clearing (or failing), you can re-enter by paying Gems or Tickets. This allows you to farm the same dungeon multiple times if time remains.
How do I get SS or G-Rank Shadows?
Every dungeon has a slim chance to give you a Shadow one rank above the dungeon's baseline rank (S β SS is possible). In Double Dungeons, S β SS/G is also possible if you face Monarch. Red Gates multiply these chances because of their increased difficulty. For boss-specific Shadows (like Igris, Pain, or Mihawk), a red gate can be your best shot at an SS version.
What runes are useful in dungeons?
Rank-Up Runes can turn an A-rank gate into S-rank for bigger rewards. Health Runes are helpful if you're struggling to kill an S-rank boss quickly. Time Runes are essential if you're borderline on finishing the dungeon or want to re-run it multiple times.
Why are dungeons important?
Dungeons drop some of the best Shadows in the game. If you aim for S-rank (or even SS-rank in a Double Dungeon), you can massively boost your damage and progression. They're also a fun challenge for groups who want to tackle big bosses. Some high-level weapons or Shadows drop exclusively in dungeons.
